Prana Power Yoga
In 2002, my HH Philippe and I left the rat race to open a yoga studio in Newton, Massachusetts, one mile from our bright pink Victorian home.
We CPR’d - Chose - Preferred - Resonated - with living the happy, simple life.
This was the beginning.
We called our studio Prana Power Yoga, a name that came to me one morning while I was practicing yoga.
I finished my practice, called Philippe at his consulting job, and said,
“We’re going to open a yoga studio - and it’s called Prana Power Yoga.”
He replied, matter-of-factly,
“Okay.”
Although we never talked about opening additional studios, the multiverse had other plans.
I simply kept following the five-step formula of conscious creation - moment by moment - choosing excitement and my next authentic step.
Prana Power Yoga grew naturally.
Studios opened. Communities formed. Lives changed - including ours.
Prana Power Yoga was never just about yoga.
It was about alignment.
About remembering who you are.
About listening inward.
About trusting what feels authentic.
No matter what the peanut gallery says.
About building a life from resonance instead of socio-cultural norms.
That foundation still lives in everything I do today.

Our first Prana Power Yoga DVD, circa 2003.
We filmed this in May, after opening Prana Power Yoga the previous June 23rd.
I created the Prana Power Yoga flow with a focus on those who have back issues (80%+ of Americans), after yoga healed my own back following a lifetime as an athlete-first as a competitive figure skater (lacing up at age 5), then training to go pro in tennis with Nick Bollettieri in 1979, living at his home with one other student.
This DVD features an hour of power in a class format. The poses are intentionally sequenced to awaken your prana (life force), clear and focus your mind, tone your body, connect you with your authentic self, and help you remember who you are.

Our second Prana Power Yoga DVD, circa 2012.
I created this Prana Power Yoga flow with a focus on those who have back issues (80%+ of Americans) after yoga healed my back following a lifetime as an athlete - first as a competitive figure skater (lacing up at age 5), then training to go pro in tennis with Nick Bollettieri in 1979, living at his home with one other student.
This DVD is 75 minutes long, though you do not need to complete the entire flow in one sitting. Simply do what you can, always listening to your body.
If possible, begin at the start, as the poses are intentionally sequenced to awaken your prana (life force), clear and focus your mind, tone your body, connect you with your authentic self, and help you remember who you are.
