My tennis coach Nick Bolletieri transitioned to nonphysical at age 91.  Since his passing his presence, power and influence has only been accentuated for me personally in that he flows through me even more now than before.  I had not lived with him for 45 years and yet now I feel he is with me all day long.  I have found myself saying out loud in the last two days, “All right already, Nick, I’m on it!”  with a laugh.  😊

I am a very spiritual person and my Chickens 🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣 are used to me talking to the nonphysical so Curly bear🐻❤️ (Phoenix, age 15) didn’t skip a beat after hearing me say something to Nick, and said, “Mom, ask Nick to help me with my game.”🎾

Nick taught me discipline.  Nick taught me to believe in myself.  Nick taught me to work hard.  Nick taught me to eat clean. Nick taught me to be kind.  Nick taught me to be clean and organized.  Nick taught me to be a good sport.  Nick taught me to train every day.  Nick taught me not to gossip.  Nick taught me that tv is mostly not a good idea.  Nick taught me to be focused.  Nick taught me to not give a rip what anyone else thought or said.  Nick taught me that malls are stupid (lol). Nick taught me to be relentless.  Nick taught me to dream BIG.

Some of these traits were already there (Virgo - clean, organized, hard worker, focused) which is partly why he asked me to come live with him to train to go pro.  It was 1979.  I had been at his summer tennis camp in Beaver Dam Wisconsin and he asked my parents if I could come to Sarasota to train.  They said yes and off I went.

Off my parents went concurrently to Calabasas California (from Lake Bluff, Illinois) so my Dad could follow his big dream to make it in Hollywood.  Apples don’t fall too far.

After living in Nick’s home for a year (The “Academy” wasn’t a thing yet) I chose a different path.  My friend Andrea Jaeger who was pro already - #3 in the world - told me to go home and be a normal kid.  She wasn’t having fun on the tour.

That’s not the point of this story, though, so enough about that.

The point of this story is that on my yoga mat this morning as Nick’s energy and support and inspiration and intense focus flowed through me I asked him, “Nick, why me?  Shouldn’t you be flowing through Jimmy or Kathleen or Carling or Lori or Pablo or Lisa or …?  I left after a year and they stuck around.  Or those I never met because they came later, like Andre?  It’s been so long.”

This is where our human minds do not usually comprehend the expansiveness and ultimate infinity of our power of influence and energy.  They also do not comprehend that time is an illusion.  The amount of time I spent with Nick is of no relevance (also ps one year at age 12-13 is pretty significant).  Have you ever met someone once who changed your life?

KEY POINT: Your power of influence is mighty…and the mic is always on. ✨🌟💫💛

Nick doesn’t have to “choose” to whom he flows his energy…his energy is infinite, as is yours and mine.  We are bigger and more powerful than we could ever imagine, and most often, it scares us so we pump the brakes.  How do we pump the brakes?  By feeling unworthy and not good enough.  By feeling stuck and powerless.  By creating drama.  By focusing on the contrast instead of what we DO want.  By focusing on the problem and not allowing the solution.

As Marianne Williamson said,“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.”

TAKE HOME POINT: Go out there and Keep spreading the light. 💫🌟✨  Do it now.  You are a powerful shiny bright light.  What you do matters.
