Many of my clients feel they are challenged most by step four of the formula.
For example, one client said:
“Step four is where I usually get trapped…It is that belief that “I know what the outcome should look like.” I am working on that belief constantly! There are many layers to it…I keep finding more, especially these past two months.”
While that belief is certainly valid; I suggested that it’s also possible to flip the coin and rewrite and rephrase his beliefs about step four like this:
“ I love the sparkling opportunity step four presents me to grow and evolve! I love how it reminds me that it’s great to have an idea of a fun outcome, and/but I have no clue how great it can be…and my idea is most likely far less magical than what is even possible because my lower mind is in the valley and my higher mind on the mountaintop. I see my old belief from time to time, like a pebble in a pond, and I smile and tell it that it’s valid and/but no thanks, I choose otherwise. I love how other false beliefs bubble up on this journey so I can identify them and choose to let them go.”
I always guide my clients regarding any words they are utilizing which may be inhibiting their ease and flow of consciously creating what they CPR: Choose - Prefer - Resonate with in their life. It’s not about mincing words, though - quite the opposite. Our words are a window into our thoughts, emotions and therefore, our beliefs (BETA) and are therefore a wonderful opportunity to tease out false beliefs not in alignment with our authentic self. So pay attention to what you’re saying so you may discover a belief which is pumping the brakes on your train moving toward the reality you prefer. Then, if the words don’t align, change them. Start where you are. Know you’re getting better and better at this and we are all on this journey - always growing and expanding.
